We gladly accept MasterCard, VISA and Discover.

We recommend that you place your order online for greatest efficiency; however we also understand that not everyone is comfortable with e-commerce.

To place your order via mail, proceed normally through the online ordering sequence.  Prior to entering a secured server environment, you will be given an opportunity to print out a hardcopy of your order which will aid you in placing an order off-line.

United States Postal System Money Orders are the preferred means of payment by mail.  Personal checks drawn against account in US banks will also be accepted; however, please allow 10 to 14 days for checks to clear.  

All funds must be in US dollars and made payable to the Stormbirds Annex.

Shipping

We believe that our customers value the fastest, most reliable delivery available at a reasonable cost.  We make every effort to limit our shipping charges to the actual amount necessary to ship the product to it is destination. Please note that we ship items only on Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Shipping Carrier & Methods
Domestic orders are routinely shipped via USPS Priority Mail.  Oversize and/or overweight items will typically be sent via either USPS or UPS ground shipping, unless otherwise directed. 

Most international orders are shipped via USPS Global Priority or Air Mail, depending upon the destination and size/weight of the parcel.

Shipping options are selected during checkout - you will be given an opportunity to choose your shipping method. There is also a shipping calculator in the shopping cart to view shipping charges before the checkout process. We calculate shipping charges in real-time through the USPS web services. Charges are based on the shipping destination. Generally the closer you are to Minnesota, the less you pay for shipping. Most items are shipped insured.

When am I billed?
Your credit card is billed when your order ships.

Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees or other penalties provided the items are returned to us in new condition. The buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.

Sales Taxes
Minnesota residents must add 6.5% to all orders shipped to addresses within the state.
Orders from outside of Minnesota (to include all international orders) must include any local taxes that apply.

Return Policy

We will do everything within our power to insure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase.  In rare cases where a return is warranted, we ask that you abide by the following policies:

Our customers may return any product -- unless otherwise stipulated -- for credit, exchange, or a full refund (less any shipping costs) within 30 days of receipt. 

Prior to returning any product, please contact us for additional instructions.  We want to do the right thing for you, but we will need to know exactly what the problem is before we can commit to a specific course of action. 

We must reserve the right to deny return of apparel items which have obviously been worn or other products which show evidence of excessive wear, neglect or abuse.

For obvious reasons Custom orders are normally not covered by our return policy unless defective.

Security

You may be worried about disclosing your card details online, but it is statistically far safer to make payment to Secure sites such as ours than paying by card in stores or restaurants. You have probably read other web security statements, but you may learn some interesting and useful information by taking the time to read the following.

Credit Card fraud is usually the result of someone stealing somebodys card number and making purchases from companies where the cardholder does not need to be present (such as a mail order catalogue). If your card were ever to be used fraudulently your card issuer can not hold you liable for any more than a small amount, and must cover any amount above that themselves (please check with your card issuers for full details).

The Stormbirds Annex is a Secure Site hosted on a server using the latest secure server software (SSL - Secure Socket Layer). This means that all sensitive information is entered in a protected part of the site that no one can view, and where all information is encrypted (coded).

When your card details are sent for authorization they are encrypted so that they cannot be read. We use the same methods used by many of the largest e-commerce sites.

What We Collect

When you complete any form on our site, your information is written to a secure file meaning that it is on a secure part of our site and is encrypted. See our Security section for more information about secure storage.

When you shop our online store, a SESSION ID tracks movements and your IP address is stored for authentication and verification reasons only. This is standard in all shopping cart programs. Your credit card information is stored securely via SSL, in a different location than your contact information, and is removed from the server when transactions are complete.

Our online store uses cookies to identify you and your movement through our store. A cookie is a small file stored on your computer, which expires by a certain date. Our cookies do not track your movement throughout the Internet and never send us information about you when you are not on our site.

What We Do With It
After you shop with us, your name, address, telephone number and e-mail, along with your order are kept on file for two reasons: 1. To reference should you have questions regarding your order; 2. To notify you of any problems about your purchase. This information is never sold, traded or distributed to others.

If you choose to create a User Account on our site, we store your information in a secure area. This information is used for your convenience and to facilitate any future discounts for preferred customers. We do not now and never will distribute this information to anyone else for any purpose whatsoever.

Stormbirds also may terminate this Agreement at any time and may do so immediately without notice, and accordingly deny you access to the Site, if in Stormbirds sole discretion you fail to comply with any term or provision of this Agreement. Upon any termination of this Agreement by either you or Stormbirds, you must promptly destroy all materials downloaded or otherwise obtained from this Site, as well as all copies of such materials, whether made under the terms of this Agreement or otherwise.
